Privacy policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This policy explains what information Catchwise ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the assistants we run for our business customers.
Information we collect
- When you book a demo: your name and phone number, plus anything else you choose to tell us.
- When you talk to an assistant we run for a business: the messages you send, your name, phone number and the details you give about the job you need, so that business can reply to you and book the work.
- When a business uses our client portal: the login details we set up for them, and the changes they make (such as moving a booking or editing their welcome message).
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider may record standard information such as your IP address and browser type.
How we use it
- To contact you about your demo and our services.
- To answer customers and book jobs on behalf of the businesses we work for.
- To keep our service running, secure and improving.
AI assistants
Our assistants use an artificial intelligence (AI) service to read customer messages and write replies. Message content is sent to our AI provider only to produce those replies; it is not used to advertise to you. Customers can ask to speak to a real person at any time, and the business will be told.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your demo or the job you asked about. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information may be shared with subcontractors who support our services, such as our messaging provider, only to deliver the messages. See our SMS terms.
Sharing
We never sell your personal information. We only share it with:
- The business you contacted, so they can reply to you and do the work.
- Service providers that help us run Catchwise, such as website hosting, form handling, messaging and AI providers, who may only use it to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Cookies and similar storage
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics cookies. We don't track you across other websites.
A few features save small pieces of information in your browser (called "local storage") so they work properly. They are strictly necessary for the feature you're using, are never used for advertising, and stay on your device until you clear them:
| Name | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
cw_session_… | Remembers your chat so earlier messages are still there if you reopen it. | Chat on business websites |
cw-demo-text, cw-demo-web | Remembers your conversation on our live demo. | Try it live page |
cw-portal | Keeps a business logged in to its client portal (expires after 7 days, or 2 hours for the demo). | Client login |
Our web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may see your IP address when delivering them. You can clear all of this at any time in your browser settings. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. Contact us (see below) and we'll respond within 30 days.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (such as name and phone number), the content of messages you send to our assistants, and basic technical data, for the purposes described above. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us below; we'll need to confirm it's really you.
Children
Our services are for businesses and their customers. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
